Privacy Policy

This policy describes how Zoucart handles information for sellers who run a store on the platform and buyers who browse and purchase from those stores. Zoucart connects independent sellers with buyers; orders themselves are agreed and fulfilled over WhatsApp, outside Zoucart.

Sellers: email, Instagram username, store details (name, tagline, description, logo, banner, WhatsApp number, GST number, delivery locations), and the products, orders, and customer records they add to run their store.

Buyers: email, mobile number, and city/state, plus any collections, favorites, and reviews they create.

Everyone: basic usage information - such as page views, WhatsApp click-throughs, and similar interactions - used only to understand how the product is used and to improve it. This does not include payment information, since Zoucart does not process payments; all transactions are arranged directly between buyer and seller.

To operate the storefront and dashboard features described in the product, to let buyers reach sellers on WhatsApp, to enforce our terms (for example, account status controls), and to understand product usage so we can improve it. We do not sell personal information to third parties.

A seller only sees information a buyer provides when placing an order with that specific seller (name, mobile number, delivery address) or when a buyer messages them directly on WhatsApp. Sellers cannot see a buyer’s account email, password, or activity with other sellers.

Data is stored with our infrastructure provider (Supabase, built on PostgreSQL) with access controls limiting who can read what. Product images, logos, and banners are stored in the same provider’s file storage.

You can update most of your information from your dashboard or account settings. You can request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us.
